Solid
State #2, Salt, water, sound track,
vinyl, dimensions various (vinyl sheet 52" x52")
Salt
water drips from the ceiling onto two 52" square
vinyl sheets.
When the drips hit the surface, tiny saline beads
are created from the impact. These fine beads
of salt water then crystallizes, and turns the clear
surface to white crystalline over time.
Early stage of crystal
growth
Once saline accumulation
reaches the tipping point,
salt water spills over the edge of the vinyl sheet
onto the floor. And another cycle of liquid accumulation
and crystal growth begins.
